Interns at the Institute on Religion and Public Policy conduct research, participate in programs, and attend meetings at a fully professional level. Interns will interact with senior officials from the legislative and executive branches of the U.S. Government, local and state governments, foreign governments and international organizations, as well as the leaders of diverse religious organizations and members of the media. The small size of the staff of the Institute and the breadth of its programmatic focus require interns to assume considerable responsibility and initiative with minimal supervision. Interns can direct their involvement toward substantive issues of interest to them among the wide variety of the Institute's main program areas, including:
  • The Interparliamentary Conference on Human Rights and Religious Freedom
  • The International Consortium on Religious Freedom
  • International Religious Laws
The professional nature of the work of Institute interns requires a commitment of 15-20 hours a week. Internships with the Institute on Religion and Public Policy are NOT PAID.
